Due to coronavirus, we are now conducting our Havans online through Google Meet. Please check our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates on when we are hosting these online events.
Every Saturday, Shankar Prasad hosts a havan (fire ceremony) for purification, healing, and creating good vibrations. Havan is an ancient Vedic practice of invoking the Divine energy; agni (fire) is an element that reduces everything to its essence. We offer from our hearts the best and worst of ourselves so that all our qualities can be transformed into a direct link with the Cosmic Consciousness.
During the ceremony, we make symbolic physical offerings to the Divine, and chant the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, the great healing mantra, 108 times. After we've made our offerings, we sing kirtan, bhajans, and share songs. Please join us! Havan is set to start at 5:30pm, every Saturday, free and open to all. You are welcome to come at 4:30pm to help set up the ceremony. |
